You can feel very proud that the first Green Beret elected to Congress (via Florida 6) is a SFA 26 Lifetime Member. LTC Michael Waltz was sworn in on 3 January 2019.
Mike has been a longtime member of MDARNG and B/2-20 SFG. He deployed to Afghanistan two times; once as a SF Detachment Commander and once as the SF Company Commander. He now serves as the Commander of the SOD-NATO in the MDARNG.
This photo was taken on 3 January at a reception honoring the new Congressman. I was thrilled and honored to congratulate Mike on your behalf. Many Special Forces and SFA personnel were part of the 200 (+) crowd.
